Lion’s mane is another super mushroom from the far east used in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine).  Typically seen stuck to trees its a large pompom shaped white mushroom with other funny names including hedgehog mushroom and old mans beard. This mushroom has major potential health benefits stemming out of its anti-inflammatory, immune boosting and antioxidant properties. being anti-inflammatory lions mane has been studied to decrease depression and increase sleep quality. Lion’s mane has also been proven to increase brain function and has been shown to cause neuron growth in mice.
